Wolkendieb Design Agency was tasked with creating a packaging design for Favly Petfood that would reflect the brand's core values of sustainability, low CO2-emission, recycling, and regional sourcing. The challenge was to create a design that was not only eye-catching but also embodied the naturalness and quality of the brand and its products. The result was a colorful, unexpected design that stands out on the pet food market.
The packaging materials were carefully selected to align with the brand's sustainability ethos. The small pouches are made of FSC certified paper with an alimentary plastic inlay, while the larger pouches are made of mono-plastic. Both materials are designed for easy recycling. The packaging also features a resealable airtight zip to ensure longer aroma preservation.
The design process involved a significant amount of research. The market is flooded with brands promoting the "all-natural" trend, and Favly Petfood wanted to differentiate itself with a bold and creative identity. To achieve this, the company opted for fresh and strong color schemes on their packaging, combined with hand-drawn illustrations of the products.
The project, which started in June 2022 and ended in October 2022, was developed from scratch in close collaboration with the CEOs of Favly Petfood. Despite the tight timeline, the creative team at Wolkendieb Design Agency was able to deliver a design that not only met the client's expectations but also won the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2023.
In conclusion, the innovative packaging design by Wolkendieb Design Agency for Favly Petfood demonstrates how design can be used to reflect a brand's values and stand out in a crowded market. The success of this project underscores the importance of creativity and sustainability in packaging design.
